I am Assistant Professor of Statistics in the Department of Quantitative Methods at Universidad de la República in Montevideo, Uruguay (UDELAR-IESTA). I earned my Ph.D. in Statistics from Iowa State University in July 2017, under the supervision of Jarad Niemi working on Bayesian methods for counts in high dimensions.
My research interests include Bayesian methods for hierarchical models, graphical statistics and data visualization, statistical methods for sport analitycs, animal movement. Check out some of the projects I am currently working and some of my published papers and Rstats projects.
I love teaching statistics and data science. In recent years I’ve being responsable for undergrad stats courses and master level courses.
